Krispy Kreme Challenge Race Description
The Krispy Kreme Challenge is a student run, charity based race dedicated to supporting the mission of the North Carolina Children's Hospital. We strive for a safe and fun event to bring together both the local community and the international running scene to compete in a unique challenge of both athletic and gastrointestinal skill.
Category Overview
TheChallengercategory is for individual runners who wish to take on The Challenge and claim victory by consuming all 12 doughnuts and completing the race in under one hour. Only runners registered as Challengers will be eligible for winning, but there is no penalty for runners who register as Challenger but do not complete The Challenge.
TheCasualcategory is for individual runners who wish to take a more leisurely approach to the Challenge and enjoy as many or as few doughnuts as they wish.
TheNo Doughnutcategory is for individual runners who know they do not want to eat doughnuts on race day. You will receive a different bib than the other runners to tell our volunteers not to give you doughnuts.
TheChallenger Teamcategory is for groups of runners who wish to band together as they take on the Challenge, competing against other Challenger teams in an effort to average the lowest team time and claim victory. To be eligible for awards, Challenger Teams must have 6 runners.
TheCasual Teamcategory is for groups of runners who wish to take a more leisurely approach to the Challenge, but want to do so with friends! Casual teams may be as big or small as desired and will have the opportunity to claim a victory of their own by competing in various competitions leading up to the race.
No Doughnut Teamsare just like Casual Teams, but without any doughnuts on race day.
Regardless of category, all runners pay the same registration fees, start at the same time, and receive their own t-shirt.For more information, please visitwww.krispykremechallenge.com

Most Fun you'll ever have running Five Miles
I'm a casual runner and have done a number of races. The Krispy Kreme Challenge is the absolute best! It's so fun, well organized, and all for a great cause. It was really quite amazing to be in a sea of 7,000 people running down the streets of Raleigh. The people, the atmosphere.. It was just AWESOME! So fun! You gotta do this race at least once in your life!

Most fun I had my entire freshman year!
I ran the challenge and ate all 12 donuts in under 50 minutes and had so much fun while doing it!! Definitely will do every year at State and hopefully after that! Great Tradition and Cause!

Must do before you graduate!
They say it is the #1 Student Tradition for NCSU students and I agree! Everyone must do this before their four years are over at State. Amazing race with an amazing cause and it is entirely staffed by students!!

Such an AMAZING EVENT
NC State's #1 Student tradition for a reason! I loved the atmosphere the morning of Race Day! Knowing that my money is going to the patients at the UNC Children's Hospital is such a wonderful feeling. I would recommend this to absolutely everyone! Really upset I didn't run it my freshman year.
